From Wat Suan Dok sunset colors the hills outside Chiang Mai. At day's end monks sweep the yard and burn the trash. Dogs roam, resting on the sun-warmed stones of the chedi. The evening breeze rustles the bells high on the building peaks. Several times a week visitors can chat with the monks who are always eager to exchange views and improve their English.
