Phra Pathom Chedi

Nakhon Pathom, east of Bangkok, has the tallest Buddhist monument in the world at Phra Pathom Chedi. The current stupa at 417ft (127m) covers the original stupa dating from the 6th century. Smaller Buddha statues in various poses sit in niches that ring the central stupa.
