Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row

Since 1984 two million visitors a year visit this aquarium housed in the former Hovden Cannery at the edge of Monterey Bay. A three story fish tank with long strands of kelp, a collection of jellyfish, otters, penguins, seahorses and various sea life educate and entertain all ages. Cannery Row celebrates Monterey heritage as a sardine processing center until the 1940s with a collection of restaurants and souvenir shops.
