Aerobatic racing is a new sport that began in 2003. Small, agile planes with wingspans of little more than 20 feet, fly low and fast between air-filled cloth pylons, completing a set of maneuvers. Racing against the clock while rolling and crossing through the gates tests the skills of each pilot.
