Golden Gate Park

The vision of gardener John McLaren transformed over 1000 acres of sand dunes into Golden Gate Park's pathways, meadows and lakes treasured by citizens of San Francisco. There are softball fields, museums, handball and tennis courts, lawn bowling, an archery range, a fly casting pond, a house for model boats and a lake to launch them, and still there's room for jogging, cycling, tai chi, roller blading and of course, walking.
