Ellis Island

The former main entry point into the US on the Hudson River in New York Harbor, received more than 12 million immigrants from 1892 to 1954. Now it's the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, presenting the inspection and approval process in photos and artifacts and illustrating the impact of immigration on the US population in a variety of graphic displays.
