Located south of Portland and east of Salem, Silver Falls State Park is outside the town of Silverton. This largest state park in Oregon has 10 waterfalls, several with trails that pass behind the falls. Heavily visited in the summer to enjoy the cooler air in the hills, spring offers wildflowers and fall brings leaf color.
