Established in 1929, originally the peaks and glacial lakes were protected, with Jackson Hole property added in 1949. Rugged, glacial mountains of the Teton Range seem immense and yet close enough to touch. Buffalo, moose, elk, eagles, and coyote are a few of the animals sighted in the park.
